I copied a simple web page, pasted it into an html web page in Outlook, then emailed to my yahoo address and viewed it using Yahoo Go........the images didn't make it (just links show in the email on Yahoo Go). Pretty much comes through same way as with the BB email reader.
Update: This is cool. Potential. Click on Today in My City, scroll down to to More results, then click on web images, web results, mobile results .... Pretty neat.

8700g. T-Mobile. It's a pig! 611K Download. Then it gets more app and data.
I have a great EDGE connection and it's dead slow "fetching" stock data.
This looks like a solution in need of a problem. PocketDay™ and Berry411™ may not have 100% of what his app does, but they do it 900x faster.
I'm deleting it. Apologies to all those who can't even download it.
Luck.

did you try signing up from their web page where they send you a link. That worked for me on my 8700 when the link didn't.

First I tried from my Blackberry. Got that 'no plans to support your PDA' message.
So, then I tried from mobile.yahoo.com/go. I put in my phone number. Didn't work. Clicked on the 7130c, typed in phone number, didn't work.
Thoughts? Should I upgrade to the newest whatsit OS or whatever from Cingular/RIM or whoseit?
*shrug*

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)
The My News is pretty neat, too. Can import modules already set up in My Yahoo, or customize anew. Can add RSS feeds.

It appears the only devices that are actually supported are the 8100/Pearl, 8700 (GSM/EDGE), 8703e (CDMA/EVDO), and 7130e (CDMA/EDVO), despite the webpage showing support for the 7100 (GSM/GPRS), 7130g/7130c (GSM/EDGE), 7100i (iDEN), etc. Actually, it may support the 7100i, although I can't really remember now.
Anyhow, the only ones open for download are the 8700 and 8703e devices. The rest are full.

ur phone keeps going back to the yahoo main page instead of the yahoo go page because your blackberry web browser is set to IE emulation mode instead of Blackberry emulation mode, right? That was the problem with mine.

Not impressed
The two things that I've been anxiously awaiting from Yahoo is the wireless address book and calendar sync with my Blackberry, as promised last April in the joint announcement by Yahoo and Rim.
What gives?

Anyone has any ideas of how to solve the following issues:
I loaded it on my 8700g with TMO service. It looks nice with cool icons / color schema.
1) However, once I logged in, how do I log off?
2) How can I change my "pre-populate" contents from US (English) to, for example, Taiwan or Hong kong, WITHOUT having a master reset?
3) When I selected the content as "Taiwan" or "Hong Kong" without logging in, I did not really see the application populate the contents from those sites. Any ideas?

Could anybody with an 8100 that has this installed and running successfully provide some info about the app? Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications. I managed to get the target URL for the 8700 jad, but it doesn't run on the 8100 so trying to figure it out. In particular, I'm looking for the module info, version number, etc.
Or if someone could host the jad file that would be great.

That is happening to me. I have my browser set to Netscape emulation mode. I'll have to set it back to BlackBerry emulation mode and see what happens.

Well I missed out. They closed the beta trial for now as the demand was too high. Would it be illegal for someone to post their download on their site and allow people to download from there?

I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about someone redistributing their software but I don't see a problem if someone were to send you the direct link to download the softare from their site . . .

BTW I downloaded the software just a few minutes ago from the yahoo website and it came through just fine. I don't think the beta testing is over, they might just say that randomly so they can spread out their testing.
it might have to do with the link you follow to get the software because I tried yesterday via the link posted here in the original post and it didn't work. I clicked on the same link that was in their story about the "CES top 5 gadgets" and their yahoo GO is on there and it worked.
A little bit big of a download (524K) but it works very well. The graphics are cool and one could only assume that its the reason why it loads much slower than berry411 or other less graphic intense software.
