Thanks for the help, but what if you have a 8830 World Edition, i tried the 1290 port with Device TCP and Device Default

Ramble was running fine, but I had to wipe my BlackBerry clean, install an upgrade to the OS, and restore my software. I reinstalled Ramble and followed the guidelines on the Ramble configuration page for my 7105t:

Cellular Plan: T-Mobile Blackberry Unlimited Plan
Options -> Ramble IM -> Network Connection: Device Default
Options -> Ramble IM -> TOC Host & Port: toc.oscar.aol.com:1290
TCP Configured (Yes/No): Yes

APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: phone number (or blank)
Password: T-mobile website password (or blank)

When I go to log in, however, I keep getting this error message:

Invalid connection string: permission denied

I did a hard reset by removing the battery, but still no luck. I also tried both of the options for username and password (T-mobile info and blank).

Any suggestions?

Seems to work great on my 8300 with AT&T.
Could someone please re-confirm if this connects/sends/receives through data and not via SMS. I don't want to get charged up the #@$ with messaging charges. Thanks!
