I think there's some confusion going on here. NJBlackberry was not quite correct when he said

That is incorrect. The Plazmic CDK is the Content Developer's Kit, which is installed on your PC, which couldn't care less what OS you actually have on your device. To install the CDK, though, there are other prerequisites for your PC. You have to have the Blackberry SDK (software development kit) from RIM, and you have to have the Java SDK (NOT just the VM) from Sun. This is the only way I have been able to get the Plazmic CDK to work properly. Install Java SDK, then Blackberry SDK, then Plazmic CDK.
Now, to actually
use content you create in the Plazmic CDK on your Blackberry, such as themes, you
do have to have OS 4.1 installed.
