Does it ask you to log on to blackberry.com/aim, if so, I have the same message. Double check with T-Mo to make sure that you have a data plan and not just an email plan, als o look on your phone to make sure you have the AIM service books. I do not have the service books and can not get them sent to me because I do not have a data plan. this is the only thing that doesn't work on my phone...
