OK, so after much argument with the folks at Cingular, they finally got back to me with an unlock code. Of course it doesn't work and I keep on trying and trying (yes, I know I should've stopped).
In any case, now my 7100G won't accept any SIM card and now reads "Invalid SIM Card" right under the time.
I've tried wiping the memory and reinstalling desktop and handheld software and nothing seams to work. And of course, NO ONE at Cingular has any clue how to help me. Rather than wasting more time trying to get a new one (since they're supposedly back ordered now), does anyone know how to really reset this sucker or at least get it back to working order...even if it's locked?
Got my 7100t unlock code from Tmobile the other day and sucessfully unlocked it yesterday! I now have it on a Cingular Plan and voice and data work perfect!
Hey there everyone,
Quick question for those of you that may know...
I have a 7100t that I was able to get the unlock code from tmobile and use it overseas. i now need to switch over to Verizon, not by choice and I would like to still use my 7100t instead of the big black brick! Does anyone know if the 7100t will work with Verizons TDMA. My concern is I will not be able to connect and use my BES server using Verizon and my TMobile 7100t.
Your 7100t will not work with Verizon under any circumstances. The 7100t uses the GSM/GPRS network, and Verizon uses the CDMA network. It will not work.
