OK, if you look at this set of numbers "4.5.0.122/4.5.0.89", I think that the first set of numbers "4.5.0.122" refers to the core OS version, and the second set (in this case "4.5.0.89") refers to the Applications revision number.
Because the core OS, and the Apps arent 100% tied together (and are developed seperately also AFAIK), they are versioned separately.
Don't quote me on this though, This is just my impression from reading through craploads of ARM embedded OS stuff, and JDK stuff on the blackberry dev website.
I may bee absolutely wrong, but that's how i understand it, until I learn otherwise
