i just installed opera beta 3 with no problems at all!!
and i noticed that opera 2 on my phone is still there. i can still experiment between the two!

I've also noticed that the trackball press no longer takes you BACK a page. it's been made to Select a link (finally!). I still need to acces the menu for certain functions, but so far (testing for about a minute), it's an improvement!

This Opera Mini is great. Forget the built in Blackberry browser!

oops, odd double post.

I might as well take the opportunity to point out that this version of Opera mini is WAY faster that ver 2.

I'm attempting to view a pdf (which I know the Blackberry browser can do). and, just now, opera mini beta asked if I wanted to launch the BB browser (obviously to view the PDF).

cleanly done.

This Opera 3 is much better than 2. It's so much easier to navigate and see.

Oh NO! Where did my BB Browser go?

I installed this opera mini via desktop manager (when i went to that url on the phone, got stuck in some never ending page loading loop). It installed fine, but my BB Browser is not on the phone anymore! I see the bookmarks and everything through the desktop manager, but its not on my phone. This happen to anyone or know how i can restore my BB Browser as well? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I did this and it got the test going and when it gets to 100% on step 2/2 it still tells me that the connection failed. You guys know what else to try? All my permissions for the application are set to "Allow". I have the Blackberry Unlimited Web/Email plan and all the other web apps work.

Thanks.

How would you make it your default browser? I got links in my e-mails and when I click on the link...it uses the BB browser.

Any way to change that?

I had to uninstall because for some reason Opera 3 was crashing my GPRS connection. So ten minutes after closing it I wouldn't be able to use GPRS for email, MMS or even with the bb browser.

Had to uninstall...
