Running 337. Whenever I miss a call, the phone locks up and I must pull the battery to clear it. Any ideas?

Rim offers no information on this issue so my first thought is you have an application that corrupted the call log application because thatxxx8217;s the first thing a call accesses . Also it is possible you have too many apps loaded or other software beyond the original OS and the BB is running out of memory. Have you loaded any additional Apps just before this started? also it just may be a bug and an OS redo or change may help.
Try a battery pull and see if that helps.

My thought would be to clear the call log. OP already tried a battery pull, but doing another after clearing the call log would be a good idea. And be sure and do the battery pull with the power on. Wait a good minute this time.

I only have google maps and bloomberg mobile loaded. The memory shows 3.7GB free in built-in and 4.6GB free in Media card. How do you clear the call log to see if that fixes the issue

Messages > menu > view folder > phone log

You could also use Desktop Manager to selectively delete the phone log database. That may be preferrable in case there's some corruption that doesn't resolve when you delete using the method above.

Scroll to top date header and select delete prior from the menu.

I'll agree with aiharkness. There does not seem to be a limit on call storage except available space but there is a high probability of a corrupted file causing this.
