I've just upgraded to the 8800 from my trusty old 7230. When I try setting up contacts in BB messenger, I can send out "add contact" invites, they receive it and accept, however I never receive their replies.

My company uses a microsoft exchange server, and what's really wierd is that I recieve their acceptance responses as emails in my exchange mail on my work computer that are titled: <$RemoveOnDelivery,SuppressSaveInSentItems> BLACKBERRYMESSENGERINVITESTAGE2
...but even those email messages don't show up on my bb. I'm getting all other emails just fine but I'm also becoming suspicious that I might not be recieving sms messages since I haven't received any since upgrading (3-days).

Also, if someone else initiates an "add contact" request to me on their bb's, I never receive it.

Any ideas?

You need to input the persons PIN # in your addressbook then send an invite.

You know what, I noticed that I had the same exact problem when I used my pearl. However, the way I troubleshot this was to send a reqiest through email, rather than through pin. Hope this works for you, it is really a pain, hopefully that bug will be eliminated in the next os.

IS BB Messenger working on Cingular now?

It has worked on Cingular for awhile, they just don't officially support it. But I have several friends on Cingular who use it with no problems.

I know at least 4 people (plus me) who have been using BB Messenger on Cingular since I got my BB last July.
