Default OS: 8100 v4.5.0.152/4.5.0.110 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry® Pearl (TM) 8100 smartphone

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.152
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.110
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.90
* File name: 8100M_PBr4.5.0_rel152_PL2.7.0.90_A4.5.0.110_AT&T.e xe
* File size: 92.29MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4

This download is from At&t but will work on ANY carrier's 8100 model BB. (Not 8110, 8120 or 8130)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. (Vista users be sure to right click on the .exe file and select "Run As Adminstrator.")
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Hi CrazyBeautiful, try this:
1. Unplug BB from PC.
2. Launch the Application Loader like you were going to install something.
3. While the app loader is attempting to connect to the BB, plug the USB cable into the BB.
The information above was obtained by X14 here on BB forums.
If those steps don't work try using
hxxp://blackberryfaq.net/index.php/How_do_I_wipe_the_BlackBerry_using_Jl_Cmder%3F
Replace the two "xx" with "tt". (I can't post html links yet)
Please note that using jl cmder will delete all of your data.
Good luck,
Matt

I don't think thats OS problem. Thats a problem with your email setup, check to make sure your reconciliation is still turned on. If its not fix it that way...if its a blank page you need to resync your email with the device in your email settings.

Curious:

I had application version 4.5.0.99 (platform version 2.7.0.84) before, I loaded this firmware, yet my blackberry still shows that application version, not 4.5.0.110 as listed in the first post. This is the only firmware installed on my laptop (a recently imaged laptop), I set it to remove all apps etc when using the apploader. Any ideas why I'm still showing the old version?
