Hi

I´ve been looking all day in this forum and tried everything to make it work but no luck.
I got a blackberry 8110 with version 4.3 and tried to install 4.5
i did everything correctly and i always get error 507.
i wipe the blackberry, delete the *.xml file...but no luck..after 4.5 not working i tried to install 4.3 again and the same error over and over.
Please!!!i really need help!

I am getting the same error on my 8320 Curve. I have tried pusing the new OS to the device but it just has this screen with a circle, square and triangle with a "no sign" thru it and "507" at the bottom. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try wiping with JL_cmder and see if you have the right OS installed

Start > Run > CMD to launch a command window. Try C:\program files\JL_cmder\javaloader.exe -u wipe. Personally, I never use the password switch. It you need to enter a password, you will be prompted for it. Hope this helps

I can not even get into the phone the screen will not move, is there a way to do a hard restart? I have tried pulling the battery but that does not do anything.

yeah i dont use the password switch either, it never seems to work, just wait for the prompts.. i would pull the battery and reinstall the os with dm.

I have never recoved a 507 except when i was having these problems with the MMS service with my 8800, i would remove that with JL and it would work.

If your getting the 507 right after a os install I would reinstall.

Just reload the OS to the device. 507 just means the device is ready to load a new OS.

i thought there was a whole list of reasons that you could get this error, I know of 3 specific ones....

i thought 507 was an os loading error.

I did all the above including wiping the bb with the cleaner and that´s the message i get after 5 min installing the OS with the loader:

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x00000005]

i ran loader again and now i get :
¨App Error 523 Reset¨

Make sure you're not trying to install any 3rd party applications. Usually that's what causes app error 523's. Reboot the device, and then connect and attem[t to load again and load only oem applications.

dont get the 523 error no more, only the 507 again

desperate!!!!
