Default Wireless calendar suyc not working for one user

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BES loaded with 20 users, all of which are working perfectly apart from one user, who's calendar does not sync in either direction. On the user account properties it is enabled OK. The devices are all 8700g's. The BES is running on Windows Server 2003 SP1 and the BES itself is version 4.0.

I thought it might be a cdo.dll problem but since it's only affecting one user it's unlikely, anyway I checked it and the version on the BES is the same as the version on the Exchange servers.

What to try next!?

Have you tried reloading the user? On the device, is wireless sync turned on under calender > options?

On the Blackberry Manager, look at the user and see what agent ID the user is on (you may have to scroll to the right). Write that number down.

Now go into your logs. Not event id logs.

Look for MGAT logs. Find the log that points to the number your user is on.

Example: BESSERVER_MAGT_04_20060731_0001.txt

See what type of errors your geeting there. I would try adding something on the users calender and then look at the logs.

Try removing the DESKTOP (SYNC) service book, reconnect the bb with desktop redirector or to the BB manager on the BES. This should restore the service book and usually works.

I'm not seeing any errors , just lots of stuff like this:

Code:
Remove from device storage:12>
Remove from device storage end; time:0>
Admin. Task- PIN-Email mapping rows: 12>
Admin. Task- HTTP Proxy Mappings>
Admin. Task Finished>
Statistics save task started>
Statistics save task finished -- number of rows inserted:5>
I'll try getting him to add clalendar entries and check the logs again.

I've seen this issue resolved through deleting service books also but its the CICAL service book that fixed it.
If you try deleting this service book and and then resending it from the BES server (Right click the user on the BES and its under IT Admin - Not Syncing at the desktop) then reset the device using the Alt/Cap/Del keys together..
Hope this helps..
