Default No carrier help...?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I have an unlocked blackberry 8900.
I wanted to get free internet on my mobile phone because no carriers in USA allow me to get internet only. that's the only thing I need and want. this contract stuff will be useless for me, as to I will be moving back soon.

so I went to this opera.com thing. (free bb internet application) apparently
but my laptop (vista) can't read alx. and cod. files, when I try to upload it to the desktop manager.. it can't read the file either.
My phone is from UAE more known as Dubai so it has no carrier to write in the ATP section. (the opera doesn't support my Dubai Simcard)
well it runs on roaming AT&T or Tmobile.. <-- this part won't make sense. dispose if that part confuses you.

the part that's driving me crazy though is really the part of not reading alx. or cod. files so that I can open the files and put it in my bb desktop manager so I can see if this opera stuff works.

so my question is:
1. how can I get free internet on my phone? (I just want my BBM and MSN) to be working actually.
2. how do I fix the COD. and ALX. files my laptop can't seem to read? I have winzip and adobe but it says that the file is broken? IT IS NOT. :P
3. I have no carrier, will that be a problem for this opera site thingy?

thanks for the help everyone
