Haven't seen this ever mentioned but it seems like a logical progression given the Treo's popularity. In my eyes...that's the perfect blackberry. They might have to make the 7100 a little wider and the keys smaller...but I think it can be done.

I would say that the 8700 form factor is closer to the 7200 series than the 7100 series.

think about it, try cramming all those buttons from the 7200/7500 series into the space allowed on the 7100...? come on guys, the buttons would be so frickin' small only a 3rd grader would be able to push them without assitance from a pencil eraser or stylus.
