My guess is NO.
Doubtful that this OS will work on a CDMA device.

AMAZING!! This new OS 4.2 is the best thing that ever happend to my 8700.
NOW : Much faster, picture caller id, files transfer directly to my BB from Desktop Manager and to most amazing thing is that now I can change the permissions of the Keystroke inection and Browser filters from DENY to ALLOW, so now I can finally use my bluetooth keyboard. This update remove IT Policy? ( I was on BIS and never on BES)

Can't wait to see it working.
My 8800 still did not arrive (sold out...) so I will mess with my 8700g a bit longer.
Will report how it went.

When's this coming to the 8703e for Sprint? Are we going to be a year behind all the GSM carriers, like normal?

Any thoughts?

I am confused..

Some say it does have pic. caller ID, some day it doesn't. Some say it has a media player, others say it doesnt. Are people who are saying these things actually trying out the OS or are they just speculating.

Could a dependable source please let us know what there really is?

Yes it does have picture ID calling and the media player works, well atleast for me. Some might have different experiences.

I have been up all night using the new software, from everything I have seen its great. Much faster speeds and many of the options that have been posted are there, just havge to delete the vendor file.

Jibi will there be a release to the AXL file for more themes? I have the iPhone theme but cant get it to activate.

No he's not. Mine is so bad, I practically hate it. I'm just holding out for the next 8800 OS. If that doesn't fix it, I'm going back to 8700.

What third party applications are you running - no one here has a lag issue and we have a pile of 8800s running on both Cingular and T-Mobile.

You need to place all your information in the proper boxes, that last one requires an email address.
