So far I can't get sms to work not even a location in the menu to send to someone . I am hearing that this is an issue. I also can send mms to people but just get a message back stating the message can't be retreved after a few minutes. I can't get replies.

Default 8350 Mms

Just got off the phone with blackberry support they are sending me to level 3 support and should get a call back in 1-2days . they are working on the issue and don't have a fix yet. The 8350 doesn't do sms only mms and when receiving a mms I would get an error stating

**** Not Retrieved yet****
Estimated download size=1k
Expires: Dec 22,2008 11:31pm

she had me go threw all the options in mms , plus the service packs, mms delete and reregister along with checking the firewall. No luck. I bet your going to see a OS upgrade soon.

I should have my 8350i this afternoon and will test SMS. I am getting one in for our administrator. He uses text messaging quite a bit and had a lot of issues with a 7100i we just set up for him last week.

Three days in a row I had to call tech support. Seems there was an error in their provisioning table whcih caused inbound MMS not to work on his 7100i. Refreshing his unit in their system each day resolved the issue and it's been working since Friday.

Have tech support try a refresh. Also go into the firewall and MMS options to ensure there is nothing set which would block incoming messages. I do not have my 8350i yet as I had mentioned so I cannot give details on exact menu items to check.

Sent my sister a text and she replied. It said "not retrieved yet" but I was able go click on "not retrieved yet" and retrieve the message. Is that the problem you were talking about?

That is one of the problems I am having, when I recieve a message, I get the not recieved message, then you have to click on the message, then hit the menu key and select retrieve now. I just got off the phone with tech support and they gave me the whole let us call you right back. So we will see.

to those of you who has problems with MMS, have you sent your Service Books from BIS since switching over to the 8350i?

I just flopped over 3 users from 7100i and no problems whatsoever with the devices . . . funny thing was that I had more problems trying to explain to the users how to get things done with the new device . . .

I went into settings and there is an option to for "automatic retrieval" if that's checked you should be able to retrieve your messages without clicking on anything!

So far I LOVE this phone! I bought a micro SD card and transferred music to it. It's everything I had hoped and more. I am still getting used to the trackball instead of the wheel but that's not a problem.

I created a sprint blackberry email address last night . Today I go to log in to my BIS account and on my computer and I can't get in. What the heck. so i click create account and put in the PIN and IMEI numbers and it states there is a acct created already for these numbers. For the life of me I can't figure out what the username and password is.

Is it your email address or what?

Go to options, then mms, then change automatic retrieval to always.
