Ok. I do not understand. I just called Verizon and they said that the phone cannot be unlock and if I will be travelling abroad (which is true) I would have to use their network or pre-installed sim card and pay for roaming, etc..., what did u guys asked?

I tried to unlock a 9530 no luck. When you enter the code which according to the source is a good code do you get some type of confirmation, I did not?

Default help

I bought an unlocked blackberry storm from ebay to use with my tmobile account. I added the blackberry service option to my tmobile plan and followed all instructions provided from various websites on what to do to make all options work for tmobile. After all is finished, my blackberry is saying invalid sim card and has sos on the top right corner. I took my sim card out and put it back in my old phone and it works and I was able to access the internet from the old phone.
I am not sure what I did wrong. Do I need a different sim card from tmobile to get the blackberry to work since my old phone is not a blackberry but a basic phone? If I can't get this working would tmobile help me since the storm is not a tmobile phone?

Are you sure it's unlocked? Have you checked?

You'll also need to enter your PIN and IMEI in My T-Mobile under the Change Device (I think that is what it's called) option.

It sounds like it's not really unlocked.

So when the phone gets unlocked I can goto Canada to visit my sister and not pay for roaming? I dont fully understand the "unlocking" process. How do you know if it is unlocked?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

"Unlocked" just means the device can accept other carrier's sim cards.

I tried that and when I got to where you enter MEP2 it did not prompt me to enter my MEP so is there a way around that or a way for it to prompt me?
