From BGR:

BlackBerry BIS 2.5 presentation, OS 4.5 not coming ’til September! : Boy Genius Report

---
The 4.5 OS will be “available for all BlackBerry’s in September.” This includes the 8100, 8800, 8820, 8300, 8310, 8120, and the 8110. No 8320 love?
---

Why no mention of 8320?

It's coming....I was joking. I don't know why it was left out of BGR's list. An oversight I'd say. It's coming.

Was gonna say...to my knowledge T-Mo is the only one that carries the 8320 correct? If it was not coming then the "beta's" wouldn't be floating about in cyber space

Hello JC....my BB will only work as long as it is connected to my PC. Once i disconnet BB or power down PC, BB stops working and reboots often. What might be the cause of this?

Default can not install

I followed the step, but there is no automatic update comes out. I did delete the file in apploader. My guess is maybe because the current OS on the phone is the 4.5.0.52 which I got from another thread here, so does my DM. I removed the 4.5 in DM and reinstall the 4.2.2, still no automatic update comes out. Any suggestion on this? thanks.

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

That's because this OS is older than what you have on your device.

Similar problem here. I have BB 8310. I can read traditional fine, but the simplified characters have problems. Only some are displayed, others have black boxes. I can use pinyin to type simplified, but like I said, some characters are black boxes. Any help? the first entry on the thread is interesting.

This is an old OS. Any OS labeled 8320M... will have dutch.

Any OS labeled 8320CJK will not.

Question

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.2.2.338 (Chinese)
Package Version: 4.2.2.338
Consisting of:
  • Applications: 4.2.2.184
  • Software Platform: 2.5.0.40
  • File name: 8320CJK_PBr4.2.2_rel338_PL2.5.0.40_A4.2.2.184_Sing Tel.exe
  • File size: 96.01MB
Download:

To install this software on any 8320:

1. Download and install the latest Desktop Manager from here
2. Download and install the OS packaged linked above.
3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Connect BB, open Desktop Manager and you should be prompted to upgrade.

My 8320 OS is 4.5, I did exactly above step, first it not upgrade, then I try to manual upgrade, Desktop Manager show that I am try to downgrade the OS, I am not sure what to do, as I know if I downgrade the OS, my 8GB SD will not work, is that true? What will be the solution for that I can read/input Chinese and can support my 8GB media card?
