Default Blackberry Won't Turn On!!!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a problem!!!

My Blackberry 8330 battery totally died over the weekend. So when I got to work I plugged it in to let it charge. After 3 hours I went to turn it on and it won't turn on!!!

I pulled the battery out and put it back in and let it charge another hour and still doesn't work.

I pulled the battery out and plugged it in and tried to turn it on. It still didn't come on.

The red light blinks but it's a long 10 second blink.

Any ideas???

Do you know anybody else with a BB. Try their battery to make sure it's not the device. Then, buy a new battery.

Also, how long have you had the device? You may be able to return it to the store.

Ok, so I just took the Micro SD card out and it now shows a battery with a lighting bolt through it ..... but it won't come on ....

So I figure it is charging on?

Ok, let it sit and charge for another couple hours.

After that--with the USB still plugged in, remove the battery a few seconds and replace to reboot. If it powers up to the homescreen, let it remain charging completely to 100%.

So I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it sat at a white screen with an hour glass and then it booted into the OS and everything is fine now. I will let it sit until it reaches 100% then I will turn it off and put the Micro SD card back in it.

Thanks for your help guys.

If you continue to have any issues after reinserting the Media Card, see the Sticky Post at the top of the Media Section page regarding Media Card problems.

Is Media Card support turned ON under media card options? Our policy turns this off by default and if someone tries to put a Media Card in their Blackberry they experience similar problems to yours.
