Default Help Please: BB Storm on Rogers Network

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Everyone,

I'm very new to this so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a Vodaphone BB Storm from the UK and would like to use it on the Rogers Network.

The phone is currently unlocked and my phone functions are working fine (on the Rogers Network). I just called in to add a dataplan and in doing so also gave them my IMEI to setup everything else however I was told that the IMEI was invalid and therefore could not be supported.

I was wondering if there is anyone else using the Storm on the Rogers network and if so, how did you get them to use the phone? Were you previously on a dataplan with another BB and just swapped SIMs?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Fred.

P.S. you can also email me directly at rdstter at gmail.com. THANKS!

Was that their exact words? Or did they comment that the PIN/IMEI was registered on another network?

Their exact words was that the system was not accepting the IMEI because the Storm is not from Rogers and Rogers only supports Rogers phones. Did not mention anything about the IMEI or PIN being registered already.

Thank you,
Fred

eh, do search in our 9500 section on "Rogers" and you will see that it does work, you just have a few workarounds to go through.

Still though, if you bought the device used, the PIN is probably still registered on the other network, it sounds like.
