I loaded .75 on Friday and all seemed well. I got in the car to head home and looked over at the Storm and it just rebooted all by itself.

It hasn't done that since though....

I haven't ran the .75 upgrade yet, but mine has done it twice in the last two days, and it's done it a number of times before then. BLAH!

My first unit was doing that, as well as a ton of other errors. I would talk to a rep about it...

Lightbulb Not since .75

Mine rebooted 2 or 3 times in the first week I had it (.65). Since I have installed .75, no reboots.

Judging by the other comments, it seems pretty random. It may be due to 3rd party apps, but that is only a wag (wild-ass guess). 73

Mine rebooted itself the first time that I plugged it into a computer. It was running .65 at the time. I had killed the battery all the way to the point that it turns itself off. I then plugged it into the system and turned it on. A little bit later, it died while it was still charging and wouldn't turn back on. A little later, it turned back on. I didn't have a problem with it again until after I updated to .75. Since upgrading, I caught it rebooting on it's own once and found it just turned off once. Also, it rebooted itself again when I plugged it into the same system that I plugged it into before.

I had a lot of reboots when on .75. I think it was a 3rd party app that when removed left some problem files. After a clean install the rebooting has stopped. I suggest just re-installing the .75 OS.

I just had my first automatic reboot. I was in the middle of typing a text message, and then I saw something about a pin and it rebooted. When it all came back to life there was a text message from my daughter waiting for me. Has anyone else had a problem with the device rebooting while receiving a text as one types a text?

Today it happened 6 times so far. It's driving me crazy. The 3+ minute reboot time doesn't help either. I wipes and reloaded 3 times over the last .75 update. I tried .75 .76 wiped removed all extra apps. Still happens mainly as I get a message or call. This issue more than any of the others will have me go back to the 8830 with it's low ringer volume. It seems like VZ and RIM just cant get one right for me. My ATT 8800 was so stable.

Your device is defective. Go to your local CORPORATE OWNED Verizon store to get a replacement (NEW) Storm.

I did, mine has rebooted 3 times in the middle of text messaging and a couple of times in the middle of typing a message using BBM. I am going to call Verizon and ask for a replacement.

This my second device doing this rebooting thing. Maybe it cant handle my email volume? I get about 200-300 a day. I know. It can't be helped. Tomorrow is day 29. I'm giving serious thought to returning it. Today it rebooted just after I dialed 911. Luckily the guy i was with made the call. Its a great little toy with great features but it not worth someone getting hurt over. I'll buy it again when they get it right. Back to the 8830.
