Here some (hopefully legit) good news. My company has about 38,000 VZW phones, of which roughly 10,000 are blackberries. Our VZW guy just came and brought me a new Curve. He told me that on November 9th they will launch the Storm, and he should be able to get us some on Monday the 10th. I told him to sign me up, and he seemed confident in being able deliver on the 10th.
I'm crossing my fingers for Nov. 9th!

I stopped by my local Verizon store and they told me that it will likely be released "around Nov 16th or 17th."

I told them I'll be back and ready to port my number.

Yes. It looks like its two weeks behind the Bold. My hope is the product is ready, as opposed to ensuring holiday sales

From what everyone is saying it will around the middle of November. Hopefully this doesn't get pushed back.

Just talked to the downtown Seatte store. They said the "2nd week of November". They don't know what date or how many they are receiving.

The 2nd week of November starts on November 9th and ends on November 15th.

I'm still hoping for November 9th!

There is information now that the Storm in production will have a slightly different form factor to address the gap below the display and above the buttons

Quote from Kevin Michaluk of CrackBerry.Com:
I don't have any secondary confirmation on this yet, but my further understanding has it that the Storm hardware in final form would feature slightly different edging to the touchscreen (reduce/lower the outer gap)...

looking at the screenshot in the link of the excel sheet name, it has a date format of 2008, june, 2nd. I don't see any mention of a date in the screenshot.

I hope it is the 15th, it's payday in which some of it will go to vzw again....

it should be released sometime in November. If my memory serves me correctly, I think they announced the release date for the Pearl about 2 weeks prior. So i'm guessing, coming Nov 1-3, they will update their website with a release date and related information.

Default Sell-out?

I, for one, actually hope it's the 15th or 16th cuz my "discounted pricing" takes affect on 11/13. Anyone know the difference between that? Discounted Pricing vs. New Every 2??

Also, I haven't been around Verizon for any big or new phone releases...is the Storm likely to sell out? Do people camp out? How prepared do I need to be??

It should sell well, as far as lines? Nothing too much.

As far as the supply and demand issue, it is hard to say. There have been articles stating that the smartphone industry may struggle a bit because of the economy, so that may dictate the sales. We shall see.

Discounted pricing is the two year contract promotional price, basically whatever the phone is being advertised for. New Every Two is an additional $50 or $100 credit off of the advertised price.

The 15th SUCKS! I'll be on an annual retreat. You think the corporate stores will still have stock on Monday the 17th?

Actually, there were lines and coupond handed out for the Voyager. I know, I was there. Probably not for a blackberry though. Most are sold through online sales anyway.
