Default Buttons not working

Please Login to Remove!

All the buttons on my BB are not responding whenever I press them.
I reset the BB with removing the battery.
But that didnt even help.
It is receiving incoming calls, only I cant take the calls since no button is working.

Anyone an idea?

A little rain is all it'll take.

There's instructions on the internet, even somewhere on this forum that show how to take it apart... don't freak out... It's really easy... Take it completely apart and leave it to dry out(3 days minimum) somewhere. (i put mine on top of my audio receiver for at least 3 days)

Then reassemble it.

I thought I had lost mine, but after doing the above, it works like a charm!!!

GOOD LUCK!

Yes, take the battery out and place it somewhere warm for a few days. If you want exact instructions see the link below.

Good luck and I hope that it works out!

if you dont want to take it apart, pull the battery and use a hair dryer to remove any moisture. dont over heat the BB, only minimal heat

Default Its alive again

I removed the battery and let it dry for some days on top of my tv decoder.
Unfortunately, it didnt work out

After that I went to the phone doctor here in Antigua.
He opened up the BB and cleaned it.
The buttons are now working again

According this guy, the buttons were defected due to some corrosion in the BB.

Thanks for the replies to this Thread
