plazmic CDK Discussion Forum
Please Login to Remove!
Hello all,
I don't normally link to different forum sites too often, but I thought that this one might be useful to some of you here. Plazmic has a forum on their website for discussing their complete CDK. It appears to be monitored by the developers of the Theme Builder. There's not a whole lot of traffic, but the answers given are helpful and it might give them ideas for the next release. I don't want to overwhelm them, but just wantet to let everyone know about it.
The link is. https://www.plazmic.com/PlazmicForum...jspa?forumID=1
Hope this helps.

Someone Correct me if I am incorrect but there is an 8700 option when you 1st open it, I think as long as you have O.S. 4.1 you are ok, go ahead and try it Jeff, also Jess you live really close to me, lol, I live right next to Brandon High School.

It's a matter of resources. This is a company that develops content for blackberries and other mobil devices. They are in the business to make a profit. They didn't even have to provide this capability but they did for free. They could have offered it for sale. They could have kept it for internal use and left us with nothing. Just be thankful for small favors. If we're appreciative of their efforts, maybe they'll add a list theme in the next release, but if we complain too much they may just decide it isn't worth the effort and we won't have a next release.
Sorry about the rant.
TANSTAFL, but theme builder is close.

Your right man, I think the program is nice, does everything it's supposed to, and it gives everyone else a springboard to create newer programs for the blackberry user network.

Everyone has an opinion rcbjr. You are obvioulsy a fan of the icon themes...I am not.
You would think that since they were able to create the builder for the 7100 series in list form they could do the same for the 8700. Yup, it's free and I shouldn't whine, I know, but heck, I'd pay $10 for the program if they kept imporving it along the way. Then there'd be no rsource problems.

Give them time man the device just came out.
But the fact that you would be willing to pay for it does not mean everyone else can or would, and the rest of us are grateful whenever there are great applications made available to begin with and for free even more. People clamored for this and it wasnt there so now it is, wait patiently and keep your whinning to yourself lest they decide not to release any newer improvements that they may come upon. Plazmic, I along many others here are grateful and do thank you.

Let me re-phrase.
I am BUMMED that they don't have a list theme builder for the 8700!
Guys, if you check my posts here over the past 2 years you will find that I am far from a whiner. I think it's great that Plazmic has created this tool (for free), just wish that it had the list theme builder for the 8700, but life is full of dissapointments...and life goes on.
So, turn the flame down guys...I was originally gonna say SUCKS, but re-phrased it to STINKS. Now I will bring it down to just sheer dissapointment that I won't be using this fantasic tool.
(Sarcasm ON) Now, you all just go back to making more ICON themes for your devices. (Sarcasm OFF).
Merry Christmas all.
Jeff

FYI---a response to me from the Plasmic people:
Hi DJJeffT,
We are hopping to be able to include support for the customization of an 8700 list theme in an upcoming release of CDK. Please stay tuned!
Happy holidays.
Scott
So maybe I got my xmas wish early...
Jeff
