No luck with 3.0.2 on the 9530 with Bell (running .122) - just get Waiting for GPS. I am able to get it to work if I switch the network to use GSM (so basically it disconnects from Bell and connects to Rogers - my phone is locked so this doesn't actually connect to any Rogers services - but behold GPS locate in Google Maps then works).

Have tried reinstall, battery pull with no success.

I can't get GPS to update my location, but this can help me.
I went to service book and didn't find the above service, how do I enable it?

Thanks!

It's in options -> advanced options -> GPS.

I do have my location based services on, all other GPS programs (ie BlackBerry Maps, Trapster, bbTracker) work just fine, just Google Maps doesn't.

I have a curve 8330 with alltel (allsmell) I have been using the BB maps that came with the phone. the gps feature was working great ..oh I have version 4.5.??? Any ways after reading this I d/l the google maps and found it doesn't seem to like using the phones gps just want to triangulate up to 2900 feet ??? but then I found if I open BB maps get to the gps satellites ..then google maps will use the gps ...any ideas? why the google wont find the satellites on its own ??

Default GoogleMaps problem loading after upgrade.

GoogleMaps was working fine on my Storm. Then I upgraded to the newest version. Now when I try to load it, the little progress line on the opening screen gets a 3rd of the way across, the program closes, and goes back to my main screen. Will not load at all. Any ideas what the upgrade process might have done to cause this? Did I miss something?

Are you outside and do you have Options > Advanced Options > GPS Services set to "Location On"?
