Default hotel wifi connection/password problem

Please Login to Remove!

New here so please forgive me if this has already been asked and answered. I am at a hotel in Las Vegas and cannot use my wifi enabled blackberry to connect. My laptop connects fine. Wifi connection is "open" and requires only name and room number however, even though I have a wifi connection, my browser seems to think I don't and won't allow me to access the "wifi hotspot login" page and just comes up with "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider".
Frustrating!!!
Please help.

ok, so how does one go about doing that? My hotspot browser should, similarly to a laptop, take me to the sign on page offered by the hotel yet it won't acknowledge the connection. Using hotspot login doesn't take me there either. Surely someone has run into this, what must be a fairly common, situation before?

I'm facing the some problem, too. Tried to connect to Second Cup wifi, but the browser just wouldn't allow me to load any page including the hotspot login page. Have you found the solution yet?

Many Thanks!

Hotels are generally not fully open. The redirected page requires the login and in my experience some do not play well. A true Hotspot is fully open requiring no login you can use login.
check with the front desk. they may have a different login you can use.

SOmetimes, I have had success by navigating tot he log in page on the BB by manually entering the url into the browser and then filling in the required information. Doesn't always work however. Try tsac's solution and se if that works.

Also make sure that in Manage Connections you go to Mobile Network Options and check that you have WI-Fi Preferred selected.

Sorry for the delay. The hotel wifi people had to "more open" the connection for me. Apparently it is fairly common for them to have to do this for Blackberrys. Gave them my IP address and voila.
