Default Trouble with link

Please Login to Remove!

Rivviepop,

I type your link into my T-Moble browser on my Curve and it takes me to Google.

I have made sure that I type it in exactly.

What am I doing wrong?

arrgh! Nothing, you are doing nothing wrong -- that stupid free webhost I use has changed something. It works perfectly fine from my Firefox on the PC but goes to Google from the BB browser - this is *not* me doing it, this is the webhost hijacking the traffic. (I tested forcing a direct connection over wifi that doesn't go through blackberry.net, same problem)

For now it doesn't work - I'll have to try and figure something out or find a new free webhost to put things on. Sorry. :( I used to work just fine, I haven't touched it in forever - that's what I get for using free stuff.

EDIT: I've edited the previous posts to redact the URL for the time being

I was actually doing it to help Rodolfo (MyAlarm author) -- if you're willing to host, send him a PM and such. I haven't had the time yet to dig in and either a) solve the issue somehow, or b) choose a new freebie. I'm more inclined to (b) as the php0h.com people pull some shenanigans sometimes (like they unilaterally decided to change all password on everyone) that I really don't like.

EDIT: and I guess I now count this as a shenanigan, my OTAs used to work fine on that server. But when you're paying for Free, you get what you pay for...

Its not working properly on my 7130c, though I see others have used it on that. I can't select any of the individual alarms, it just scrolls right past them and if I click the scroll wheel, it gives me the drop down menu.

Looks like a good program, just wish I could use it. I downloaded version 2007.10.04

I've found a new free webhost, this one actually looks like a long term keeper (lots of cool features); the OTA install is back up and tested working just now, previous posts edited for the new URL:

I'm having a similar problem where this link will work in a firefox browser, but the same link does not exist on the BB browser.

Don't know what to tell you, it works fine - just re-tested it right now using only EDGE (so it had to go through T-Mobile, etc.) and it's peachy.

I think you should really look into the problem with your alarm application due to these newer OS's. Seriously, i miss MyAlarm, i really rely on it to get up at anytime.

I'm not so sure it's MyAlarm's fault directly - I have another app that is having the same kind of problem, every time it goes to use the network I get a similar popup about allowing access. This didn't happen on the 8100, it's new to the 8320 4.2.2.x device - just like what's happening with MyAlarm. (of course I set all perms to 'Allow' and such)

Annoying. :(

Is there a way to have this program start automatically after I Reset the device?
Twice now, I've had to reset, forgot to start MyAlarm and wasn't woken up.

...And don't call me an idiot if it's obvious. I already know that.

Really? Every time I either remove the battery or "SoftReset" (the program), MyAlarm does not automatically run.
However, BeamBerry and GTalk, for example, do Run. Is there a location in the BlackBerry options to tell it what applications to start after a reset?

I have always had to restart after booting or rebooting. Or no alarms.

I love this application-thanks!

I had to delete it though until I can get an answer to this question:
I get quarter hour beeps and hourly tones and cannot turn it off.
I have every alarm turned off and it still rings every qtr hour and tones the hour like a grandfather clock.

any suggestions??

I would love to reinstall it.

Force Exit is a temporary solution.
