I just ordered this battery, primarily because I wanted a better back cover/speaker opening. Sure I could have got the OEM sized one, but I figured a little more battery wont hurt me when I'm traveling as I have been away from mains long enough to wear her down before. Thanks for the great review!

You will enjoy an extended battery because first thing you will notice is that
you are not having to charge it so often, like the OEM battery. IMHO the
yellow OEM battery is underpowered for what it is supposed to do.

I suspect that RIM put such a small battery in the phone so to keep the
weight of the phone down so they could advertise just how light it is. An
extended battery takes away that feature, even the medium 1250 battery.
When RIM wanted to market ounces, they saved weight wherever they could.

Personally, I'd like to see a beefed up Pearl, thicker plastic, more metal, a
bigger battery, and sturdier mechanisms.

Great post, SF! I've only had my Pearl for about a week (and this is my first post), but I also wanted to let you know that you work on this forum has helped me tremendously so far. Keep up the great work!

I continue to get 3-4 days out the 1250 Seidio battery with average use before it goes to 20-25%. I charge it when it gets that low. It's at least a day or 2 better than the OEM battery.
