How does one make the enable bluetooth option of desktop manager? Mine is greyed out. WINDOWS VISTA OUTLOOK 2007 7100i, i have been looking for a solution for days, the support site at blackberry.com was not helpfull

imagine! bb support being not helpful!

my guess is they told you a couple of things there;

1. dtm 4.1 does not support vista (and vice versa) .... and that;

2. dtm 4.1 is the only dtm reccomended for the 7100i nextel.

are you within these guidelines? if not, what do you have for dtm on your vista pc?
also what type of bluetooth are you trying to pair?

I have this same problem on my HP WinXP Pro laptop
I have bluetooth built in, but the option for bluetooth sync is grayed out.
If anyone has fixed this problem, I would like to know how.

My DTM IS 4.2.1.8
CAUSE THE ONE I HAD BEFORE DID NOT WORK WELL WITH VISTA, AND I DOWNLOADED THIS VERSION
MY BLUETOOTH IS BUILT IN.
I HAVE A VAIO VGNSZ430N

Desktop Manager only works with the Microsoft Bluetooth driver. Are you using that one or a third party driver (e.g. WIDCOMM)?

I THINK THAT IS A BUILT IN DRIVER, I AM ATTACHING A VIEW OF THE DEVICE MANAGER

they are Toshiba drivers

And were does one find the above mentioned Microsoft Bluetooth Drivers? The Bluetooth device I have installed has drivers made by Broadcomm.

The Microsoft Bluetooth driver is part of Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista. There is a thread on this forum somewhere detailing how to get your Bluetooth device to work with it.

Sucess! Using the Microsoft Bluetooth drivers was the trick.
