What OS do you have on your Windows Server?

What Service Pack level is your Exchange 2003?

Also, do you plan to have the SQL server on the same machine?

I realize this may be a bit 'out there' but why not consider a solution like Notifisync or Astrasync which is easy to use and interfaces, directly, with Exchange?

If it is grayed out, you might already have a SQL or MSDE instance running.
You will need to setup a BESMNGT database manually.

Also term services might have to be trun off or removed to install it.
Then you can turn it back on when done.
