I was thinking of holding out for a leak of 5.0.0.110 or it's variants. Quite a version number leap from .90. Hopefully a lot of the issues have been resolved.
I follow these step from crackberry website and the browser back to work just make sure follow exactly what it said

I keep it. Runs stable since the last 12hrs, however I dont have much 3rd party addons installed.
Shouldnt it be possible to attach an address to a Calendar entry (or is BES 5.x needed for this feature) ?

If 5.0 is a good window to the future, then it doesn't look too bright. Sounds like a few very minor cosmetic changes, but little else.

The firmware has nothing to do with Mac compatibility, its the desk top manager program that dictates that. And at this point, the answer is no.

Is this relevant if you have the browser available? I can launch it, it just crashes the device every time I browse to specific sites (like Google etc.).

Will the instructions in that thread address that problem?

So I upgraded last night , everything works great except that I can not use the web !!

It gives me this message every time I try to open the browser : Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries.

Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device . . .

I have already sent myself the service books (3 times !!) and still nothing , any thoughts on this ?? everything works except that

Just curious to know who your service provider is. I've read that people with Roger's are not having the browser problem, but AT&T are. Did you load with DM 4.6 or 4.7.

Thanks, looking at every option before I decide to upgrade or not.

There is a bit of outage for some carriers today.. I'd be patient.

when i downgraded, i noticed that my "Phone" list is different now.... from the home screen when i hit space bar... thats the one i'm talking about.... anyone else notice something missing? It looks like the formatting is different, or has part of it missing.

v5 tweaked the phone list to add in a few extra items to each listing. Now that you're back on 4.6, the new formatting is gone. It's back to the way it was before.

That is, if I'm understanding you correctly.

I'm with Rogers. Loaded with 4.7 (which could be the problem -- was thinking of trying with DM 5) and the browser is there and it works for some sites. Unfortunately, certain actions like using the Google search area cause it to hang and you have to pull the battery.

*NOTE*

For people having problems downgrading from 5.0 to 4.6, all you have to do is disable your internet connection before initiating the process.
