Welcome to the Forums.

I would look at AppWorld for the ones you find interesting and check the reviews. Reviews tell a lot. Also make sure you only use an App designed for your model and OS.

There are thousands and a lot are junk but a lot are very good
the free ones are sometimes better than the cost ones.
