Default Gmail calendar no longer synching, missing

Please Login to Remove!

At the office we synchronized the calendars of all of our multi-manufacturer phones (Blackberry, Android, iPhones) and tablets with one of our gmail accounts and it's been working great, since all of our devices beep when we have an important event that we all need to be aware of...

Except my phone has mysteriously lost the gmail calendar despite having the gmail email available (and I can send / receive email from this account). It's working fine for everyone else, just not me.

Under "Default Services", I can only choose for Calendar (CICAL) Facebook or my blackberry.net account, gmail is not available.

However under messaging, the gmail.com email is listed as well as my blackberry.net.

Does anyone have any ideas? I may have upgraded my phone software at one point and lost this calendar but I don't know how to get it back.

Thanks in advance!

Request a new service book if the BlackBerry Internet Service is used for email message redirection.
If new service books do not resolve the issue, clear the service book database.
The BlackBerry smartphone is attempting to send email messages using the service book of an email account that is no longer integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service account. Re-integrate the email account to the BlackBerry Internet Service account.

Once again, you're giving incorrect advice bisleri.

Google no longer offers the option to sync calendars over the air to BlackBerry devices. If this is a feature you really need, you will need to switch to Windows Phone, iPhone, or Android.

Sorry for the late response, work's been crazy and forgot I was missing appointments until a nasty email reminded me!

Are you sure of that? It's currently working on my colleagues Blackberries and was working on mine until I did a wipe around the 17th...

Absolutely. Your colleagues have not yet lost the service book for it. They will eventually.

Argh. Double argh! There's... like... no solution to this problem. I'm open to ideas if anyone has one.

The only solution is the one I already offered.

You are partly correct - Google no longer offers GoogleSync for Blackberry.

However, Google does sync Calendar and Contacts for your Gmail account. As long as urbanriot has a gmail account, he should be able to sync the calendar associated with that account.

The option is still there during setup, but other users on this forum have reported it to not be working.

It works. I had to reinstall Gmail on my 9900 and the sync works.

Great! Glad it's working for you. It's not working for a lot of people, however. I can't find the notice from Google right now, but they're not supporting BlackBerry fully.

Brilliant, thank you, this fixed the issue for me as well! Funny how I overcomplicated a simple solution inhibiting me from fixing it. I guess the OS update I completed disrupted whatever security existed between my connection then and now.

I realize though that the support is gone so I still need to consider an alternative solution. I created a new outlook.com, live.com and yahoo.com email account and none of them offered calendar synchronization.

What's everyone else using?

It's in place as of January 30th. If you remove it you won't get it back.
