At a minimum, we know we know they do not want to be boxed out of Christmas. Do you forsee people waiting on lines as people did for the iphone?

Nope I don't foresee any lines ala' iPhone, a blackberry appeals to a totally different crowd to me.

Yeah, I don't think you'll see anything like that. I think most of the blackberry users will call there carry and have it sent to them. I don't know of too many that would devote much time to getting one. The entire reasont they have it is convenience, and there is nothing convenient about waiting in line.

Here some (hopefully legit) good news. My company has about 38,000 VZW phones, of which roughly 10,000 are blackberries. Our VZW guy just came and brought me a new Curve. He told me that on November 9th they will launch the Storm, and he should be able to get us some on Monday the 10th. I told him to sign me up, and he seemed confident in being able deliver on the 10th.
This would put me in the lead for the BBF - Storm Launch Pool. November 10th, 2008.

Ha ha, more like a crowd with a life. You have to have a job to afford the hefty fees to own a iPhone but you have to have a life to realize it's just a phone and you can always get it tomorrow or online....

I am all excited like a giddy little school boy, I will pay the full price if need be, but I think I have a line on my family plan that I can upgrade, or maybe just open a 4th line on it...

All they have stated on the release date is that the storm will be released later this fall. Im guessing early-mid November.

OK.

So all the hype and now we won't see this device till mid November? What is BB doing to us tech people. I want to see this thing now. All I say is it better be what they say it is. All this extra work and time they are putting into it. Release at the end of Q3 which is when people? Last month? Anywho I am sorry for this rant.

Just talked to the downtown Seatte store. They said the "2nd week of November". They don't know what date or how many they are receiving.

The 2nd week of November starts on November 9th and ends on November 15th.

I'm still hoping for November 9th!

Anyone think b2b customers will get this before retail customers? In the past they've had devices for b2b customers before retail.

Our Verizon rep said end of this month for the Storm. We have about 1000 BB's.
