Default OS 6 takes a lot of memory

Please Login to Remove!

Got it from AT&T. Booted up and it has only 66 MB left and I have not yet installed any third party applications.

Is this normal?

Thanks!

Cheerful, what device are you using, the 9700 as in your profile or 9300 since you posted in that section? If it is the 9300, please update your profile to reflect the correct model number.

Ah! Why the heck AT&T ships it with OS 6? Any way to shrink the OS (tried Shrink-A-OS but did not get much).

Is there any way to utilize the SD card for things such as messages?

If I downgrade to OS 5, how much memory would I save?

Thanks!

I have a 9700 with OS 5 (prior to upgrade). How can I figure out how much memory emails use on it?

I've trying to delete the samples but it won't allow me. Any trick?

On boot, there is some kind of animation and tutorial. Can I delete that?

Thanks!
