Hopefully, even taking a percentage of that battery life off because of 3G will still leave us with a viable battery in the 9000. It is a higher capacity battery, so here is hoping.

Although standby time is exceptional on the BlackBerry I'm more wanting to see Continous talk time! This is what I rate my phones on and always have. Standby is exactly that ... when i'm NOT using the phone. When I NEED the phone is when its MOST important to me. I couldn't care less if 1bar on the battery meter meant it'll last 5 days. If I had to use it on 1bar ... I'm hoping I'd get at least 30mins - 1hr left ... hopefully more EVEN on 3G without video calling. Thus far ... my K850i lasts a whole day of browsing (3G using OEM NetFront browser on HTML/xHTML/WAP sites for 2-3hrs straight), MP3/AAC audio playback (2hrs minimal), and talk time just over 1hr combined and still on standby to make it to the 20hr mark MINIMAL ... sometimes over the 24hr mark. Granted my phone doesn't have WiFi or a 2.6" screen (2.2 though); but it holds its own against ANY 3G device trying to do the SAME things I've mentioned.
Yes I crave for a new BB .... but I'll judge a 9000 usuage from others that fully give it a full days worth of pain and compare it to the K850i.
iPhone? I use phones ... not trying to become one.
