Default Transferring data to q new BB9900 from desktop

Please Login to Remove!

My current BB9900 got wet and despite everything I cant bring it back to life. I also did not realise I can't view calendar entries, notes and other stuff on my desktop from the last back up (unlike Nokia)

Anyway I need to get a new 9900 and need to know first when I connect to PC will my stored data transfer to the new phone ? this will at least minimize hassle.

Also does anyone know if I take the old phone to a specialist can they get my data off it ? I plug it in and the red light comes on then off and back on again then I get the battery symbol with the red cross over it. Basically I just need to get my notes and calendar entries.

TIA David.

Take the battery out and put the wet BB into a bag of rice for 4-6 days. DAYS - not hours. It *may* help you try and get the data off, but it is likely dead.

In addition to what NJ said, doing a restore to a new BB from DM should give you back your data from the backup. Do a swap device.

Try MagicBerry software to open the backup file.
