Now back to serious stuff. How long is "delay"? 5 min? 5 hours? Of the 23 users, are there any 1 that is also from the same mail server as the affected user? Comparatively is the mail file size bigger? Are there hung threads related to this affected user in the MAGT log (keyword "No Response")? Try to see a trend/pattern.

I meant checking the MAGT logs and see if there is any log lines for the affected user with the work "*** No Response ***". This means hung thread. If there is, potentially you may have delay. If this is true, time to do some maintenance on the mail file.

Your issue sounds like its specific to that mail file as others from the same mail server are working fine.

Default Time delay in receiving e-mails (BES) (Solved)

Thank you guys, issue has been successfully solved, here is the solution

CollapseOverview

In IBM Lotus Domino 8.0.0 to 8.5, the BlackBerry Messaging Agent may take longer than expected to send messages and calendar items to BlackBerry smartphones. In certain circumstances, BlackBerry smartphones might not be activated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and items may be delivered in batches.

The following log lines reference the mail file names of the affected BlackBerry smartphone user(s):

[40000] (DD/MM ##:##:##.###):{0x###} {SMoser/Domino} DBStore::GetDBChanges, skipping mail file mail\smoser.nsf (was not requested by the agent for mail server MAIL/Domino)

This issue may also be indicated by Forced fetching modified documents log lines, in which there is a large time difference between the current time and the last fetch:

[40039] (DD/MM 12:08:27.756):{0x####} {SMoser/Domino} CN=MAIL/O=DOMINO!!MAIL\SMOSER.nsf, forced fetching modified documents since DD/MM/YYYY 11:19:13 AM (# total)

CollapseEnvironment

* BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 5.0 for IBM® Lotus® Domino®
* IBM Lotus Domino 8.0 to 8.5
* SDR287348

* Back to top

CollapseCause

This issue impacts BlackBerry smartphone users whose mail file path in the operating system's folder structure has a different case than the mail file path specified in the person document. This issue is only exposed to Lotus Domino R8 as a result of a new API, NSFGetDBChanges(), that is designed to be more efficient in gathering mail file changes and reduce CPU and memory use. IBM and Research In Motion are jointly working together to address this issue.

There should not be any problems using the following software:

* IBM Lotus Domino mail server 7.0, 6.0
* BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 or 4.1 for IBM Lotus Domino
* IBM Lotus Domino 6.0 or 7.0 on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server

* Back to top

CollapseResolution

To resolve this issue, please request a patch to the IBM Lotus Domino 8.0 servers for SPR #PLOR75FK3G, and update the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to 5.0.0 MR1 for IBM Lotus Domino.

* Back to top

CollapseWorkaround

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator can perform one of the following workarounds:

* Make sure that the mail file path for BlackBerry smartphone users in the operating system is the same as the mail file path for those BlackBerry smartphone users specified in the person document.
* In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents, change the DWORD value PollByMailServer to 0. (try this part first before doing all above mentioned)

Note: If the registry key does not exist on the above location, create the registry entry.

This may be help to somone..

Isn't this key just for 32-bit systems? If I'm not mistaken, for a 64-bit system you have to create the key in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Resea rch In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents".
