Like the title says.. Facebook as my contact pics jacked up.. Somehow when I synced my phone with Desktop Manager. DM prompted me with a question regarding a pic conflict. I press yes to all then BOOM all my pics are messed up.. Anyone know how I can put this back to normal? I dont mind the FB pics if they are on the correct contact.

The pics dont match the contacts at all...

From what I realised with my facebook app is that when you sync it, it stays with the picture ur contact had at the time. When your friend on fb changes his profile pic, it does not update on your contact

Right and that all makes sense but mine got messed up somehow.. I guess I am stuck like this.. It isn't life threatening but aggravating to say the least.

And I'm guessing you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it?

Doubt that will help though :|

Only thing is if you have an old backup of contacts before you synced with facebook and you sync over.

Facebook has a feature where it can update your contact pictures with the pictures from facebook. You can turn this off, in the Facebook Options. It is a feature, not a bug.

See, the thing about Facebook is that it was designed and intended to show people's faces in the profile picture. Kinda hence the name. But people put pictures of stupid stuff, like their car, in for their profile picture. So when you see their profile, you see a car. That means when you dial their number to call them, you will also see a picture of their car.

The contacts pictures do not update..

Hi This just happened to me too and facebook has not only put the wrong facebook pictures on the wrong contacts, but also have put other information eg. company name in where one didn't exist It appears that it is using the photos of my facebook friends and randomly mathcing them against my contacts, although all the contacts that have had the wrong photo applied are also friends in FB. There is no logic, either names, country, sex or email address completely random ! I don't think it will be reverable. Dont let it happen

My experience is that the facebook friend has a similiar name to a contact in my phone and therefore the facebook friend's profile pic downloaded to the contact in my phone. When I sync'd the first time it slipped by me and therefore I had to cancel and re-sync to restore the pic i previously had.

I guess the other way to ensure this does not happen is to set up the conflict option in the sync configuration and keep only the the original settings on your device or otherwise, un-check the option where the device communicated with facebook.
