Default Verizonv Tour VERY sluggish performance, please test

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all, I got my new Tour today, been loving it so far, all of a sudden I noticed that from time to time the whole unit becomes VERY sluggish (hitting the red button to go back, selecting a menu option with the pearl) on the order of 3-7 second delay on common actions.

Going through what might have happened I realized that I decided at some point to set the network mode to 1X instead of global thinking it might help with battery life, after putting it back to global this issue has not occured, I'm curious if other tour owners can confirm this bug

thanks all.

Keep on 1X if you are Verizon

Default slowdown

if the network is set to global it will stay on 1x in the US anyway, but FORCING it to 1x seems to induce a major slowdown.....

The one we have is on 1X and no trouble. I will keep an eye on it.

i experienced the huge slow down of the device a couple times on the first day or two i had it, none since then. It's kind of strange.

I've experienced something like what you describe, where the device seems to freeze up for 5-15 seconds at seemingly random times, but that happened on the first day as I was setting things up, loading apps, etc., and has been much better later that day and only once since then, when loading a new app.

I think it's just part of the normal "breaking in" period.
