Will the Pearl recognize that big of a card??? I guess it will if you already bought it. Seriously I thought it would only take up to an 8 gig.

Looking at my original message, I'm not sure it's clear, but my intent in posting was not to brag, but to "share the wealth" so to speak, let others know about the low price available.

Prices for the new 16 GB cards are about $100 on places like Amazon after shipping. The discounted ebay price was a very nice surprise. IF you search on 16 GB Micro SD you'll find many listings, including the $74 price that discounted down to $67 w/the ebay 10% off coupon.

I use mine as my iPod, so I have a ton of songs, and I also keep movies on it for those times when I'm stuck somewhere and want something more than just music. I'm down to about 50 MB left on my 8 GB card, and am looking forward to the additional space so I can put some movies I pulled off of it (to make space for music) back on. How can I live w/out "Office Space" ?!

Is that micro sd ultra or regular as it might be kinna slow if it is not. Does scanning takes long time when you open media mgr? Mine 4GB takes forever on my 8300. ..

It's a Micro SDHC, so yes, performance is optimized. I believe all of the newer cards 8 GB and above are.

My media manager opens w/out delay on my Pearl, even w/my totally full 8 GB card. I can browse songs or videos w/out any waiting...the only time I have to wait for scanning is after I've connected to my computer and added songs or videos...then it takes a minute or so to rescan/index the card (but you can still access and play songs while it's scanning).

Just checked...price is now down to $73, and the 10% coupon is still appearing on the ebay home page...so that's $73-$7.30 = $65.70, and no tax (unless you're in Michigan or Ohio) & free shipping.
