does anyone have a 8520 on orange and can use the fb location things as cant get mine to work i was told is the phone but i know about 5 ppl with the same model phone and can you it any help would be greatful

The 8520 doesn't have GPS, so it should use cell triangulation.
However, even models with GPS have problems with the FB Places, so I would say its hit and miss on a blackberry.

No idea. There appears to be no reason why it works on some and not on others.
Perhaps its the network, perhaps its the application, perhaps its facebook.

totally hit n miss. Family member has 8520, same as me, on t mobile, same as me> she can use palces, i cant.
Tried for ten hours to find a solution that works, given up and consideringasking t mobile if i can trade in my bb for a nokia, as sick of it now.
not fair to see an app there and not be able to use it!

I am new to this forum and i am having the same issue with my blackberry and fb places not working. Do you think it could be a issue with the facebook app on the phone its self not work or what?

Are you sure your location is turned on under your phone settings (it can't be set to 911 only)? If it isn't, Facebook Locations won't work.
