Default Should I ditch the Tour for the Curve? Convince me!

Please Login to Remove!

I got my first Tour 2 days after it came out and loved it...until the balltrack started breaking my heart. I got a replacement phone and now the balltrack is starting to act up again and frankly I have had enough. Another issue is the Tour does not have WiFi....which I really wanted and the new Curve does, and the new Curve has a padtrack, which is amazing.

So I am wondering, are my complaints worth it to change? Is the Curve anywhere as good as the Tour or should I just suck it up and deal with the Tour until something better comes along?

Thanks for the help guys!

You could wait for the Tour 2. It will have WiFi and a trackpad. Also, the 8530 doesn't have as nice of a camera, no flash for the camera. It depends on what your needs are. If it were me I would wait for the Tour 2.

Just the information I was hoping for, when does the Tour 2 come?

No one knows the exact date just yet. There are rumors, search around.

Speculation is 2nd quarter, and that it may also wind up being called a Bold instead of a Tour.

If I can get the Curve cheap, I might take a shot at it. I am going to throw the Tour out the window with the trackball issues. But I am def going to get the Tour2 whenever it comes.

Don't get the curve. You'll hate it coming from the tour. I know someone that did this, switched to the 8530 "temporarily" until the tour2 comes out. They had to switch back to the tour after 3 days.

Sure the trackpad is nice...but you what you lose with it?

Slower Processor (528mhz vs 312mhz)
8530 curve is NOT RevA, which means slower data speeds
3.2mp w/ flash camera vs 2.0mp NO flash camera
Smaller and lower resolution screen (480x360 vs 320x240)
No GSM capabilities on the 8530

Only thing the 8530 has over the tour once again, is the trackpad vs trackball and it has wifi.
