Please Login to Remove!

try going to Mobile options>mobile network then adjust the network technology to GSM/UMTS
later if you have activation required written on ur home screen this can be removed also

Thanks Godzilla for your reply. Yes I have gotten rid of the activation required message and done with that. I also changed the network tech to GSM/UMTS however, I still can not get network connection even though I had requested the blackberry activation from STC. I don't really know what else could be done. I even called up STC again to double check if the bb service is activated and was told it is. Might need some time to kick in???

r u sure u got it unlocked? just coz the seller said it was unlocked, doesn't mean it really is... according to STC, everything should be working within 5 mins

another thing what about voice calls and sms ..... i mean does it work as basic features for a normal phone.

yes I did before I the my last HTC I had a Bold9000, cancelled the service when I started using the HTC device.

listen ..... on self experience u have to make sure from STC first that the service is enabled. as u know STC are trustful that u can take there word.
did u receive any message saying that the service is enabled or something.

nope I did not receive any message but everytime I call they say it's activated. I don't even get the GPRS signal even though I am subscribed to jawalnet??? I am confused and real frustrated.

i have 2 of my friends that have the device but 1 is mobily and one is zain. they r working fine. does ur signal shows 3g or gprs or edge in small letters right?

It's working finally

It was STC that delayed activating the service as it appeared that they had a network problem yesterday.

Now I feel content with my Storm 9550 that it is fully functional

I want to thank you Godzilla and Alizawi for your support and helpfull feed backs. I appreciate it.
