nope. the only thing i can think of, in both these cases, is that somehow the RIM outage today affected your ability to get your Browser information pushed to the device. Both of you try calling your carriers and seeing if they can remove and readd the data plan, or at least refresh the services on the account

I just dealt with tis on sunday! When i got my curve the browser was there! Tmob told me that because I did not have the internet plan that the browser icon would not show up! It has to do with the service books they send. I told them ok what the hell am I supposed to do if I use the wifi? how do I browse? they sent me over to there H@H customer care people and they did some trouble shooting. While on the phone I noticed i had 2 instant messaging icons one goes straight to instant messaging and the other one was a folder with all my instant messaging icons and my browser! If you go into applications and the browser app is still in the phone then the icon is somewhere too!

I was getting a sim change at the time of the outage and now I have no BIS browser either. It vanished. Only my BES browser and Media net (although it wont connect). Did all the thing i could do but still NG. I guess a call to data support tomorrow. Just great!

thats provided the browser service books were pushed to the device. there was an issue today with just about everything BB related, so it may still be in the carrier que to send out.

I just deleted all the Browser service books and booted. Came back up and resent service books and registered. Still NG. Weird.

I had the same problem. I followed your instructions - completely. It solved my issue. Thanks

However, it is a crappy Browser, I like Yahoo.mobile better.
