How old is yours? If it's like mine of 18 months or something like that then you should change yours. Otherwise I've no idea.

Saurav.

I wouldn't blame the battery.... I'm using the same battery in my current 9700 that I got with my 9000 when it first came out...

What do you have open on your phone? Hold down the menu key to see. What apps did you download to the phone?

Please define "very fast". Are there apps running in the background? Are you in a 3G fringe area? Are you connected to WiFi?

Maybe try the SEARCH feature or read the FAQ?

This link might help: Maximum Battery Life - BlackBerryFAQ

Like previous guys said, check the apps that are running in the background, that is a huge battery drainer, also go into your settings (the wrench icon) and change your screen brightness to something like 80 or 70, you won't notice that much of a difference. If you still need more battery life, get a battery clip like I did, I can go for 2-3 days without having to charge it.

Here's the link to the one I have: BlackBerry bold 9000 Rubber feel Clip Charger (Black color)*::*Blackberry*::*Charger*::*Truesupplier - Blackberry Accessories & PDA Accessories wholesale Co.

mmm. I'm getting the same issue.
It's odd because maybe when I have less than 2 bars or somewhere around the area, my phone will just die. Then I have to reboot via battery pull.

My battery meter will then say it's low.. which doesn't make sense because it's not.

I've bought another battery hoping it won't happen again.. but it didn't help :/.

I've tried different OS's too.. still no luck :/

What could have happened?!

uninstall bbm completely if you are not using it.
If you are more fond of SMS, GTalk, Yahoo/MSN messenger, then just get rid of the BBMessenger.
I rarely see any body using it, since it allows you to talk only with the people who are using blackberry.

Default battery life

Are you charging from the wall or the PC. I had mentioned in a previous post that most people set their PC to go into standby in an hour and then the charging stops. They blame the battery and device but it is actualy the source. If your wall adapter gives you a long battery life then you need to make sure that your PC does not go into hibernate OR get an accesory that will allow charging even when the PC goes to standby.
