According to where they are currently (in an applications folder/instant message folder, etc.) just highlight the icon > Menu > Move.

Either move them to the top line of the applications screen (to make them show in the one line view of icons) or move it up to the folder icon IF you are moving it out of folder.

Have you gotten this to work with the latest version of the OS (4.5.0.52)? I just upgraded, ran thru John Clark's "free memory" blog, and don't have the option to move apps from the "Applications" folder up to the main menu.

When I go into the "Applications" folder, select an app and goto to the menu, the only options I have are: Hide, Show All, Switch Application. Nothing in there for "move".

I am currently using the "Orange" theme, so if it is theme related I may need to switch. But with the previous version of the OS (4.2.2.166), I was able to move apps around in the Orange theme.

I'm having the same problem. While I can move some apps I can't move others. For example, I like to tidy up my home screen and move all the junk, like media mall, etc into a STUFF folder. Some apps will only move around the home screen, others, like PTT, MediaNet, etc I could move into a user created folder.

This recently occurred after successfully upgrading my 8300 to 4.5.0.52.

Any suggestions are welcomed - with this one small exception - so far the upgrade has given me almost everything I was waiting for.

Now if a software upgrade could actually provide wifi I'd be all set........... (yes, I know it can't)
