Default Calendar Sync problem rides again

Please Login to Remove!

yet another thread regarding a calendar sync problem

We currently have 1 Exchange 2003 server running SP2 the version of CDO.dll on this server is 6.5.7638.2 the MAPI32.dll file is version 6.5.7638.1

this is replicated on our BES 4.0 Enterprise server (running SP5a).

I have checked the BESAdmin permissions etc and the account is exactly how it should be.

when anyone enters an appointment on the calendar in outlook (Outlook 2003) the appointment appears on the blackberry. If anyone enters an appointment on the blackberry it does not sync with Outlook (using wireless sync)

we have no problem with emails just the calendar.

the logs show the following errors

[40000] (10/25 10:48:38):{0x1100} CDO helper 04b868d0 is not in memory

[40000] (10/25 10:48:38):{0x19D8} CDO initializing failure in CDO helper 04b868d0 (1)

Has anyone got any ideas what could be causing this?

cheers in advance

Are you checking these file versions in the Exchange\bin directory on BOTH servers? The only other thing it could be is wireless sync isn't turned on, on the handheld.

Check the mapi and cdo versions in Exchange\bin on the BES and on the Exchange box. Make sure they match!

Problem solved.

it was caused by the besadmin account being a member of the domain admins group, which has expicit denys to send as and recieve as within the exchange organisation.
