Can a Nextel Blackberry Direct Connect to a Verizon Blackberry? Basically, can I PTT from my Nextel to my friend that has Verizon's PTT? Anyone know?

Currently carriers use their own cell sites to run this type of service. Maybe in the future there will cross connections but not yet

You can't PTT across networks but you can PIN him for free any time.

The problem is that the Verizon BB does not have PTT.

Even with a device on both networks that can use PTT, you can't PTT across networks.
