The SMS screen? That's bizarre. This utility launches the standard BB Message Compose Screen with the TO address filled in, Subject and Body filled in. You should be able to change the account you send From (as normal with Compose) and enter a message for Reply.

Hi crs,

Your app will be quite useful.

After I installed, and tried using it, your app seems to add additional ;; to the back of the email address. This causes a mistake to the intended email address.

I am using 4.01 something version with Chinese language enabled.

Can you tell me what might be the problem?

Thanks,

John

Hi crs again,

I noticed that the ";;" problem occurs only when the sender is not in my address book. If the sender is in the address book, then there is no problem with your App.

crs,

This app is amazing. It adds exactly the functionality that my bb was lacking. I know that you are working on the "Reply to All" functionality, which I will be eagerly awaiting, but I also noticed another bug (or this may be by design, but I can't figure out why).

When you select "PD Reply as New" and the message opens up, the cursor is at the very end of the message. I find myself having to scroll all the way back to the top, not only to enter the reply text, but to change the sent from address (if need be). I think it would be much more helpful to have the cursor start on top of the message being replied to (much like it is in a normal reply).

Again, amazing work with this app, it's a real home run.

Strange, for me the cursor stops at the end of the Subject line.

MrKyoo: that's what I would want, but mine dumps me all the way at the bottom. I've tried on various emails from different senders, but still all the same.

Stinsonddog: Because the message is technically a new composition and not a reply, hitting "T" actually types it.

Same situation here, it bumps me all the way to the bottom...

All, there's a new version posted that gets rid of the extra ; at the end of the address list. We can't currently control where the cursor lands as this is a native BB message compose screen. For me it lands on the end of the subject line.

Thanks for this fix!
Now if we could only figure out why some of us when selecting PD reply as new the cursor lands at the end of the msg instead of the end of the subject line...There's probably an option somewhere in the BB that is afecting this.
Any thoughts? Im using Telstra..8700g

Mark...nice job! Just downloaded and tried it and it looks good. Only one request...is there any way that it can take us back to the top of the message as a default? Not going to stop me from using it, but would be nice!

As an FYI...this is what happened for me, when I just used it:

1- Open email
2- Select PD Reply As New
3- PD Created new email as a RE:
4- Goto the top and select the account you want the email sent from.
5- Typed my reply and sent...I have now replied to the email from a different account!

we have no control over where the cursor lands...it seems to respond differently for different OS versions.

I'm having the exact same issue. I seem to remember this coming up with some other program that I installed (Berry 411?). Anyway, I've tried most everything I can think of to correct it short of wiping the device. Maybe it's a Sprint issue?

It's a real shame, too. I was very excited to read about this program. Oh, well; disappointment keeps you humble

This only works with e-mail addresses that are set up in bis 2.0.

I have all of my mail forwarded to [email address] e-mail address becuase i don't want to wait 15 min, so this doesn't work for me.

Wish there was a feature to change my e-mail address to any address i wanted. I guess this can't happen since you could technically spoof as someone else who isn't you.

Can I add e-mail addresses to bis 2.0 but not have them poll? That would solve my problem.

Brian,

What I've done is set up a few dummy gmail accounts that I set up on BIS , but have the email addresses I want. BIS2 lets you setup the email address as something different from what the address is that you pop from. There will never be mail at these addresses, but you'll be able to send from them.

Works great.
